Yes, you can use social networks to promote your site. I think you are confused in your marketing. You are not marketing Adsense rather you are marketing you and your site(s).

Can you use YouTube to drive traffic to your site, YES. Has anyones account been deleted for using YouTube to drive traffic to their site(s)...dont think so.
